New handmade replacement pickguard for c1961 or after Gibson Johnny Smith single-pickup version. Fox Guitars’ TruVintage replacement pickguards very accurately reproduce the look of an aged original Gibson factory pickguard. They are made from 100% real celluloid tortoise shell with a rigid semi-translucent acrylic backing, which allows more light to show through the celluloid, and for added strength and stability. It has a 5-ply aged ivoroid/black/ivoroid/black/ivoroid binding around the edges except for pickup cut-outs. Hand-buffed glossy finish. All holes for mounting pickguard and electronics are pre-drilled to the exact specifications as the original factory pickguards.
