Gibson Kalamazoo Cromwell Recording King A-style Mandolin Pickguard Kit Tortoise w/ binding
New hand-made A-style mandolin pickguard kit for any standard 10 ¼” Gibson style A mandolins. Gibson used this design on many of its off-brands like Kalamazoo, Cromwell, Montgomery Ward/Recording King and many others. This is a simple and affordable way to dress up your “A” style mandolin. The complete kit includes heavy-duty .14” thick orange tortoise shell acrylic pickguard with a thick cream binding around the edges and a high-gloss finish, chrome pickguard support, screws, bolt & nut, plus a pre-attached spacer with screw for mounting the top of the pickguard next to the fingerboard. Pickguard is the same size and shape as many Gibson-made off-brand A-style mandolins made in the 1930s including Kalamazoo, Cromwell, Recording King and others. Pickguard dimensions: 6 3/8” along the straight side and 6 ¾” x 3 ¼” overall. The only tools required are 1/8” drill bit with counter-sink, screwdrivers, super glue and a small clamp. NOTE: Holes for mounting are not drilled in pickguard since exact hole location will vary from guitar to guitar and model to model.
